Macbeth – Act 1, Scene 7

Act 1, Scene 7 Summary

Location: A room in the castle. 

Characters: Macbeth, Lady Macbeth

Events: Macbeth thinks about the possible consequences as well as King Duncan’s virtues. He respects Duncan greatly. When Macbeth tells Lady Macbeth that he cannot go through with killing his own blood, she accuses him of being a coward. After discussing with his wife, they decide to go through with their plans to murder him. Macbeth says that meanwhile they must appear innocent.
